American Leftists Storm the Bastille

The Tyranny of a Mob

http://wcbstv.com/local/nyu.students.protest.2.939086.html

In scenes all across America, young people who have shared in Obama's victory, who have tasted first blood, are crashing the gates of civilized society. They see every institution as controlled by "the man", and they claim their "rights" to destroy them all.

Their philosophy of "freedom" and "rights" is totally unlike the American Revolution wherein we claimed that all men are created equal and from that springs our individuality and our right to pursue freedom under law.

These modern American revolutionaries follow the French model of "Liberty, Equality, Fraternity" wherein we are created unequal and from that springs a revolutionary desire to be freed from the bondage of institutions in order to pursue democratic collectivist utopia. This socialist model, by its nature, can only lead to oppressive authoritarian regimes.

It happened in 18th century revolutionary France (leading to the dictator Napoleon). It happened again in the early part of the 20th century with the socialist Weimar Republic (that led to the Nazis), and again with the Bolshevik revolution that led to the oppressive USSR. In the 21st century, it's happening in America.

Here, NYU (New York University) students apparently think that they can dictate terms to the institution that houses, feeds and educates them.

Institutions like NYU might have seen it coming but didn't. The philosophies long preferred in our so-called "institutions of higher learning" have been that of Rousseau, Marx, and Hegel rather than the conservative philosophies of Augustine, Locke, Smith, and Adams. They are now "reaping the wind".

American civil society, having been lulled to sleep by liberal institutions and an over-weaning government is breaking down quickly. A collectivist, socialist revolution is just around the corner and it bears no resemblance to the American Revolution. If history ever repeats itself, this revolution, this "Storming of the Bastille" will surely lead to despotism.

Capitalists Undecided About Stimulus? Not.

For those of you who think that capitalists have two minds, that they are undecided about what the government is doing to our economic system right now, just watch this video. It looks to me that they are on the edge of open rebellion.

Global Warming Forecasts - Ridiculously Inaccurate

There's been no net global warming in the 21st century. Although seldom reported by the mainstream media, it's quite a story, because no climate model predicted it. The graph, courtesy of atmospheric scientist John Christy, shows how climate models and reality diverge. The red, purple, and orange lines are model forecasts of global temperatures under different emission scenarios. The yellow line shows how much warming we are supposedly "committed to" even if CO2 concentrations don't change. The blue and green lines are actual temperatures as measured by ground-based (HadCrut) and satellite (UAH LT) monitoring systems.

Interview with Rick Warren

'Purpose Driven Life ' author and pastor of Saddleback Church in California, Rick Warren, in an interview with Paul Bradshaw, said:

"People ask me, What is the purpose of life? And I respond: In a nutshell, life is preparation for eternity. We were made to last forever and God wants us to be with Him in Heaven.

One day my heart is going to stop, and that will be the end of my body-- but not the end of me.

I may live 60 to 100 years on earth, but I am going to spend trillions of years in eternity. This is the warm-up act - the dress rehearsal. God wants us to practice on earth what we will do forever in eternity.

We were made by God and for God, and until you figure that out, life isn't going to make sense.

Life is a series of problems: Either you are in one now, you're just coming out of one, or you're getting ready to go into another one.

The reason for this is that God is more interested in your character than your comfort.

God is more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy.

We can be reasonably happy here on earth, but that's not the goal of life. The goal is to grow in character, in Christ likeness.

This past year has been the greatest year of my life but also the toughest, with my wife, Kay, getting cancer.

I used to think that life was hills and valleys - you go through a dark time, then you go to the mountaintop, back and forth. I don't believe that anymore.

Rather than life being hills and valleys, I believe that it's kind of like two rails on a railroad track, and at all times you have something good and something bad in your life.

No matter how good things are in your life, there is always something bad that needs to be worked on.

And no matter how bad things are in your life, there is always something good you can thank God for.

You can focus on your purposes, or you can focus on your problems.

If you focus on your problems, you're going into self-centeredness, which is 'my problem, my issues, my pain.' But one of the easiest ways to get rid of pain is to get your focus off yourself and onto God and others.

We discovered quickly that in spite of the prayers of hundreds of thousands of people, God was not going to heal Kay or make it easy for her.

It has been very difficult for her, and yet God has strengthened her character, given her a ministry of helping other people, given her a testimony, drawn her closer to Him and to people.

You have to learn to deal with both the good and the bad of life.

Actually, sometimes learning to deal with the good is harder. For instance, this past year, all of a sudden, when the book sold 15 million copies, it made me instantly very wealthy.

It also brought a lot of notoriety that I had never had to deal with before. I don't think God gives you money or notoriety for your own ego or for you to live a life of ease.

So I began to ask God what He wanted me to do with this money, notoriety and influence. He gave me two different passages that helped me decide what to do, II Corinthians 9 and Psalm 72

First, in spite of all the money coming in, we would not change our lifestyle one bit. We made no major purchases.

Second, about midway through last year, I stopped taking a salary from the church.

Third, we set up foundations to fund an initiative we call The Peace Plan to plant churches, equip leaders, assist the poor, care for the sick, and educate the next generation.

Fourth, I added up all that the church had paid me in the 24 years since I started the church, and I gave it all back. It was liberating to be able to serve God for free.

We need to ask ourselves: Am I going to live for possessions? Popularity?

Am I going to be driven by pressures? Guilt? Bitterness? Materialism? Or am I going to be driven by God's purposes (for my life)?

When I get up in the morning, I sit on the side of my bed and say, "God, if I don't get anything else done today, I want to know You more and love You better."
God didn't put me on earth just to fulfill a to-do list. He's more interested in what I am than what I do. That's why we're called human beings, not human doings.

Happy moments, PRAISE GOD.
Difficult moments, SEEK GOD.
Quiet moments, WORSHIP GOD.
Painful moments, TRUST GOD.
Every moment, THANK GOD."

Thought Police?

"Dear Friend,

Thank you for your message. On behalf of President Obama, we appreciate hearing from you. The President has promised the most transparent administration in history, and we're committed to listening to and responding to you.

 The Presidential Correspondence Team"

 *********************************************************

The above blog comment was received 5 hours after the following blog post. The blog author, perceiving a threat, removed the post. At the very least, it seems to be a creepy way for the White House to "correspond" with the public.

 *********************************************************

"Well, I've held back somehow for the past 15 days since January 20 in commenting on the wonderful changes that have happened in America, but today I must comment, ladies and gentlemen. I refrained completely here on the blog from ever endorsing any candidate, and have always just discussed issues, not endorsed any candidate nor told anyone who I was voting for. But the election is over now. No voting remains. I cannot be accused of trying to sway anyone's vote, and there are no sides to take...only the issues that remain. And what issues we have.

It's amazing how much destruction can be unleashed in a mere 15 days. Now that I'm actually watching the news again (I didn't watch for weeks...my spirit couldn't bear it) I am here to discuss what I saw when I turned my TV back on. Perhaps I should have left it off and tried to keep my head in the sand a little while longer.

Please keep in mind I'm sharing FACTS of what is currently happening and has happened over the past 15 days. Click the links for yourself. Read the papers. Bills have been signed. Orders rescinded. New organizations created. I'm not making this stuff up, only mentioning that indeed it's reality. Before you get your panties in a bunch, please remember that. Forget for a moment, just a moment about how you FEEL and look at FACT.

We are now officially paying for abortions again, all over the world. The new president didn't even wait four days to launch the killing spree. It's not enough for some people that we literally burn with saline solution and cut up thousands of children a day in America, sending them to their deaths in this modern holocaust. We've got to take it to the next level and send it around the world. I'm sure some of you are just thrilled that your tax dollars are going for some women in Mozambique, or Tanzania to have an abortion. And not just ANY abortion, but also the partial birth abortion that includes jamming scissors into these fully developed babies' skulls to ensure their fatality. What a blessing. We the taxpayers are now responsible for the slaughtering of more human beings than ever before, on a daily basis. This is basically a daily 9/11. If we saw a daily 9/11 before our eyes on TV we would be out of our minds horrified, but because this is happening behind closed doors in clinics in the USA and around the world, it's easy to shut our minds off to this atrocity. Please don't even tell me this is "rare." No, it's not. Approximately 3,700 abortions are performed daily in America, with 1.37 million yearly. Worldwide we have 115,000 daily and 42 million, but now the number will escalate with the USA paying for even more of them. Even if it was rare, how in the world could anyone ever condone this even for one innocent life? God help us. As Billy Graham once said, "If God doesn't judge America soon, He's going to have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!"

GITMO is shutting down. Terrorists who have committed unspeakable crimes of every imagination will be free...free at last...thank God almighty free at last. What a vision of CHANGE it took to accomplish this, my friends. Thankfully some of our military leaders had the presence of mind to rebuff the president's order and continue to try some of these criminals whose cases are currently in the proceedings. At least we can thank the military for sparing us of the unleashing of a few of these monsters who have tried to destroy our country and others as well although some will soon be on the loose there will be more of them out and about for us to fear. Thank you, George W., for keeping them at bay...LITERALLY ...Guantanamo BAY...for at least 8 more years.

Perhaps you've heard by now, as promised during the campaign, the prez now has his own private civilian police force. We haven't seen this kind of action since Hitler developed his own privatized force. Does anyone else see the danger of this? Yes, they do...it's being talked about all over conservative TV and radio however many Americans are still so enamored with their crush on our new leader that they cannot see what is happening before their very eyes. Not sure exactly who or what this private force is going to protect since two days after the new president took office, he signed three executive orders to rein in secretive U.S. counterterror policies, close secret prisons, and end harsh interrogations. Those who want to commit these crimes now won't have to fear what will happen to them as much. Their relatives and friends can breathe easy now that they won't be held in a secret place they don't know about. Nothing will happen to harm them as they receive only good old fashioned hospitality from the USA. God forbid we do anything to make them uncomfortable. Note to all of you who are thinking about committing a terrorist attack: rest easy...when you're caught, you won't experience much more than what one of our kids would experience in a time-out in daycare. What a blessing.

We are now more terrorist friendly than ever, in fact this week it was announced that our new president has decided to abandon the phrase "war on terror" because it sounds too harsh and is offensive to Muslims, so he has decided to refer to what we have experienced and continue to undergo, an "ongoing struggle" because it does not enflame Arabs as much to hear that. Don't know about you friends, but ongoing struggles in my life would be classified as trying to not eat as much, managing PMS better, or handling my children's discipline. Last time I checked, flying planes into our World Trade Center and the Pentagon and people blowing themselves up in public places and hijacking planes would qualify as a bit more than an ongoing struggle. One thing is for sure, one of our ongoing struggles in America is the death of our old friend, Common Sense.

One thing you can be sure of -- CHANGE has come to America. But fear not! Any day now our mortgages are all going to be paid for us, right...and our gas tanks filled? At least we have that blessed assurance. This is change you can definitely BELIEVE in...it's happened for sure, so like it or not, you have to BELIEVE IT. During the campaign, relief was proposed to be something that was attainable right around the corner, as chants of "YES WE CAN" echoed over the fruited plain. Now, all we hear in press conferences is how we should brace for the long haul because it's going to take time. In fact just TODAY, the president announced that he has "three years to fix the economy." In today's headlines, broken promises and exceptions that are being made to campaign promises are the topic at hand.

I sure hope all this destruction and what is sure to come was worth it to get a person of color in the White House. I am for the advancement of people of color, and women. I even have a whole blog that I co-write dedicated to these issues and have for years. If anyone is truly for this, believe me, I am. However, I champion the advancement of the right individuals, not simply because they are a certain race or gender. Many are so excited about the advancement of a person of color or a woman, they really don't care WHO it is, just as long as it's SOMEBODY. I'm sorry, but just having somebody is not good enough for me. For those who have further interest on this topic, read this blog post I wrote way before the election on this very issue, when Hillary was still in the running and things were back at the beginning stages. Let it go on record, this is not an "Obama" issue for me, nor a race or gender issue -- it's a spiritual issue.

With our current administration we have already begun to experience that anyone who speaks against the president's policies or what is happening is branded a racist or a hater. A friend of mine was discussing their displeasure with the changes that have come so far with the current administration and someone commented, "Stop being a hater!" So anyone who opposes Obama's election or policies is a hater? Interesting. I'm not a racist, nor am I a hater. But I am a Bible-believing Christian who stands for what I believe in, even when issues of race or gender that are also important to me are a factor. My race and my gender are secondary issues when it comes to my relationship with Jesus Christ. Most people who have these attitudes don't have a leg to stand on when it comes to the issues (especially Christians) so all they can throw up in your face are sound bites about hating or the importance of unity instead of really answering intelligently to the issues. I will never, ever be in unity with an administration who condones the taking of innocent life. The Bible gives exception for us to not stand with our leaders when they askus to participate in something that is morally wrong according to the Bible. To respect the office of the president? Yes. To pray for our president? Absolutely! In fact I believe all the more prayer is called for. I am personally praying for Obama even more than I did for Bush. In the Bible God turned the heart of kings, and I am praying He turns the heart of our president toward Him.

It amazes me how so many people check their brain (or their Christianity) at the door when it comes to certain issues. A missionary friend of mine was preaching in a church a few weeks ago and during the special music portion of the service a young lady who is African American got up and before the music started for her song she said, "I'd like to dedicate this song to President Barack Obama and to our people..." and then she began to sing a song called, "It's Our Time to Be Blessed." Blessed?? Seriously, there are a million things I could say about this incident but I'll stop there because I know my readers are discerning enough to draw their own conclusions about this debacle.

Yes my friends, CHANGE is here. And some of us are going to wear our knees out in prayer. But that's alright, somebody's gotta keep their presence of mind and stay the course."
