Global Warming Swindle

This film, "Global Warming Swindle" has been around the world many times and been seen by many. However it bears watching again even if you haven't seen this essential viewing for politicians, teachers, motorists and the entire transport sector, grass roots environmentalists and all 'True Believers' in man-made climate change.

'He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.' Malachi 3:3a

This verse puzzled a group in a Bible study and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of them offered to find out the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible Study.

That week, the woman called a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest beyond her curiosity about the process of refining Silver.

As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities.

The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot; then she thought again about the verse that says: 'He sits as a refiner and purifier of silver.' She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined.

The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver was left a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.

The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silversmith, 'How do you know when the silver is fully refined?'

He smiled at her and answered, 'Oh, that's easy -- when I see my image in it.'

If today you are feeling the heat of the fire , remember that God has his eye on you and will keep watching you until He sees His image in you.

Quiz. Are you a Democrat, Republican or Redneck?

Here is a little test that will help you decide.  The answer can be found by posing the following question:

You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children.  Suddenly, an Islamic Terrorist with a huge knife comes around the corner, locks eyes with you, screams obscenities, praises Allah, raises the knife, and charges at you. You are carrying a Glock 40 cal., and you are an expert shot.  You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family. What do you do?

Democrat's Answer:

Well, that's not enough information to answer the question!

Does the man look poor or oppressed?

Have I ever done anything to him that would inspire him to attack?

Could we run away?

What does my wife think?

What about the kids?

Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand?

What does the law say about this situation?

Does the Glock have appropriate safety built into it?

Why am I carrying a loaded gun anyway?

What kind of message does this send to society and to my children?

Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me?

Does he definitely want to kill me, or would he be content just to wound me?

If I were to grab him and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me?

Should I call 9-1-1?

Why is this street so deserted?

We need to raise taxes, have a paint and weed day and make this a happier, healthier street that would discourage such behavior.

This is all so confusing!

I need to debate this with some friends for few days and try to come to a consensus.

Republican's Answer:

BANG!

Redneck's Answer:

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click.....

(Sounds of reloading)

BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG! Click.....

(Sounds of reloading)

Daughter: "Nice grouping, Daddy! Were those the Winchester Silver Tips or the Hollow Points?"

Son: "Can I shoot the next one!"

Wife: "You ain't taking that to the Taxidermist!"

RNC DEBATE Wrap-up

RNC DEBATE Wrap-up

There was a debate last yesterday among contenders for chairmanship of the Republican National Committee.  The purpose was to give an opportunity for leaders to express a vision for "rebuilding the party".  Six candidates answered questions and exchanged views.  The candidates were:

  • Mike Duncan
  • Chip Saltsman
  • Saul Anuzis
  • Mike Steele
  • Katon Dawson
  • Ken Blackwell

First Impression
The debate was more interesting than I expected and less interesting than it should have been.  I was particularly disappointed by the fact that some uncompromisable conservative principles of the Republican party were never  debated, especially:

  • Advocacy for a strong national defense; not just military but also issues of domestic sovereignty, the defense of free trade, and elimination of our trade deficit in energy.
  • Privatization of big government programs such as social security, education and health care.

Because the debate failed to address these crucial issues, none of the candidates were winners in terms of content and none presented a vision or combination of visions that the party can rally around.   That is a huge disappointment.

The Winner and the Loser
Both Anuzis and Steele displayed character, confidence, intelligence and general likability... but only marginally more than the others.   Contrary to my expectation going into the debate, I liked Anuzis the best.   As I expected however, the clear loser was Mike Duncan, the incumbent.

It's interesting that others have come to similar conclusions.  http://www.polldaddy.com/poll.aspx?p=1249484

Zionist "Oppressors" in Gaza

Pictures say a thousand words.   Take a look at the rest of the photo album  http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=50788&id=550688287&ref=share

Israeli soldier greets Palestinian child in Gaza.

This is what it looks like when a civil society goes to war.  And where is CNN, BBC, and Reuters when then world needs pictures like this?

If the shoe were on the other foot, we'd probably see the Palestinian "soldier" cradling an Israeli child's severed head.  For the sake of fairness the main stream media wouldn't show that either.

Millennium Development Goals: Dead End

The following article is about an avowed atheist who outwits the Episcopal presiding bishop (an atheist who refuses to admit it) and demonstrates that Christianity really works for improving the lives of the world's poor, not the pompous "Millennium Development Goals" of the Episcopal Church and the United Nations.
